Multiblock and Jigsaw Linocut Printing

This workshop is suitable for confident beginners and people with experience with linocut, but a general understanding of lino would be helpful. We will explore creating multicolour lino block prints using 2 blocks, or using the jigsaw method.

I will have some pre-prepared designs for you to work from, or you are welcome to bring your own to discuss and adapt for lino.

We will cover:

• Designing for multi-block

• Deciding what method to use

• Creating a jig and registration

• Colour mixing and application

• Gradient rolls

• Trouble shooting!

We will be hand pressing the prints, though we may get an opportunity to use my press depending on time.

Ticket includes all materials required for the class, but please bring your own tools if you have them.
